美国当代中国画研究会与美国楚天集团联合策划在中国文化部、中国驻旧金山总领事馆推出的第二届“跨越太平洋”主题下的【中国画家绘美国-专题画展】，作为“跨越太平洋—中国艺术节”（Across the Pacific--China Arts Festival）的组成部分。为艺术节注入中国画当代关怀的色彩，展示前所未有的、不一样的架上绘美国专题作品。

Chinese Contemporary Painting ResearchInstitute and ChuTian Group Inc. organized “U.S in Chinese Painters’Perspective-Thematic Exhibition” under the theme of the 2nd “Crossing ThePacific Ocean” exchange event promoted by China Ministry of Culture and theGeneral Consulate of People’s Republic of China in San Francisco. As part ofthe “Crossing the Pacific Ocean-China Art Festival”, this exhibition addscolors of Chinese contemporary painting to the festival and it also showcasesunique, unprecedented paintings of the States.

 

【中国画家眼中的美国--专题画展】是我们一直推进“行走于中国画之当代路径”的中美交流活动中意义重大的学术交流展。这次策展特点有两个首创：

“U.S inChinese Painters’ Perspective-Thematic Exhibition” is a significant academicexchange event in our China-U.S exchange activities under the idea of “Walkingon the Contemporary Path-Chinese Painting” that we have been promoting. Thereare two initiatives of this exhibition:

 

一、【中国画家眼中的美国--专题画展】形式，一扫过去对中国画只是梅兰竹菊的成见，向美国观众展示中国画意象写实所表现的美国，让观众随着画中熟悉的物像而切入探究中国画的内涵。即便是观众习惯以世界流行的现代解构主义方法来解读中国画，从展览中将会发现中国画不仅能“解”而且善“构”，是中国文化的直接作用。这是【中国画家眼中的美国--专题画展】的目的，促进中美文化艺术的深层交流；

1. “U.S in Chinese Painters’Perspective-Thematic Exhibition” changes the stereotype that Chinese paintingonly features the plum blossoms, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum, it shows theAmerican audiences a U.S in realism Chinese painting and allows them to studythe connotation of Chinese painting from images and objects that they familiarwith. Even the audiences are used to interpreting Chinese painting in the worldpopular modern structuralism method, they would still find that Chinesepainting does not only “interprets” but also “structures” which is the directeffect of the Chinese culture. This is the goal of this exhibition, which is todeepen the art and culture exchange between China and U.S.

 

二、将“虚拟现实”的临场感带入画展，首创同步虚拟现实画展。我们将准备三D眼镜供观众选择体验虚拟空间，宛如走入画中的亲临感。网络同步虚拟欣赏，并播放场内动态。画展与科技的结合本身就构成当代艺术的重要元素，而且是有上千年历史的中国画与最新兴的虚拟现实联结，将带给观者意料之外的收获！

2. Brings “Virtual Reality” into presenceand first ever online live virtual reality exhibition. We will provide 3Dglasses for audiences to experience the virtual space, and have the feelingthat they are in the painting. The virtual reality experience will also beavailable online, and you can also watch the exhibition live online. The artexhibition combined with the technology formed the key element of thecontemporary art; besides it is Chinese painting with thousands of years’history combined with the most advanced virtual reality technology which willbring the audiences unexpected surprises.

 

【中国画家眼中的美国--专题画展】对研究中国画拓展了新的空间。我们甄选了六十余幅作品，包括去年主办的四川省中国画学会画美国写生创作作品，将诠释在传统国画框架下的创新突破。这次画展以跨越画种、不同门类、风格各异的作品，从最小的传统扇面到最大的360X96CM尺幅，既多元又一统于【中国画家眼中的美国--专题画展】而集体呈现，必将成为中美绘画交流的一次大事件，成为艺术节的亮点。为美国观众了解中国画家研究中国绘画提供最直接的机会。

“U.S inChinese Painters’ Perspective-Thematic Exhibition” developed a new researchdirection in Chinese painting. We have selected about 60 artworks including theones done in the U.S Sketching program organized by China Painting Academy inSichuan last year. These selected artworks showcase the breakthroughs under theframework of traditional Chinese painting. This exhibition presents artworksfrom different genre, type and style, from the smallest traditional fan art tothe 360X96CM art piece. It is diversified while all focus on “U.S in ChinesePainters’ Perspective-Thematic Exhibition”. It will be a major event betweenChina and U.S painting exchange, and a spotlight in the art festival. Thisexhibition also provides American audience a most direct opportunity to learnabout how Chinese painters study the Chinese painting.

 

受邀画家是中国画坛中与学院派鼎立的各地实力派画家，我们希望在中国驻旧金山总领馆的支持下，把【中国画家眼中的美国--专题画展】做成一个可持续发展的中国文化名片，行走在有使命感的中国画发展路上，艺术因交流而更加精彩。
